Yes. Your files are processed securely using industry-standard encryption. Results are emailed without the original file content—only AI analysis findings are included. Shipment data is retained for 365 days on Advise and 730 days on Assist and Act. When you let checks use a connected system, the details needed for the lookup, such as a container number, are sent to that system, and only to systems your owner has enabled. Responses are treated as data and screened before Checks uses them.
No. Your data is never used for training purposes by Chain.io or our AI providers. We process your files solely to generate the verification results you requested.

Yes. If your team has connected a system Checks can use, such as carrier tracking, a rate system, a hold list, or your ERP, an owner can let checks consult it while they review each shipment. You choose which systems and which tools. Lookups are read-only, and if a system can't be reached, the check says so rather than guessing. How many systems and lookups a shipment can use depends on its plan.
